JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Press Operator/Set-Up
Reports to: Stamping and Fabrication Manager
Hours: 40 hours a week plus Weekends / Overtime
Pay: Hourly plus OT
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Safely Set-Up, Operate and Maintain Stamping and Punch Presses
to make a Quality Part (Minster, Aida & Positech Notching Presses).
2. Read and Interpret Drawing and Work Orders
to determine requirements such as: size of material,
type of material, patterns, dimensions, and quantities to be made.
3. Set-Up Tooling, Feeds and Straighteners for Part Production.
Must be able to make tooling adjustments to maintain
set-ups and make quality parts.
4. Must be able to Troubleshoot Machine Problems.
5. Must be able to Complete Quality Checks of Parts
to ensure drawing specifications are met by use of caliper
& micrometer.
6. Load Coils, Operate Bridge Crane, etc.
7. Follow all ISO procedures.
8. Assume Additional Responsibilities as Required.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Five (5) Plus Years’ Experience Performing Set-Ups on Large
(500+ Ton) and Small Stamping and Punch Presses
in a Manufacturing Environment.
2. High Mechanical Aptitude.
3. High School Diploma preferred.
4. Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR regulations
(U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, Lawful Permanent Resident,
or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. Understanding of ISO Procedures.
2. Able to Read & Decipher Blueprints.
3. Able to Read and Comprehend Work Instructions.
4. Proficient in Basic Math: Fractions, Addition, Subtraction,
Ruler Measurements, etc.
5. Experience with Hand Tools such as: Crescent Wrench,
Socket Wrench, Pliers and Clamps, etc.
6. Must have Own Tools
7. Proficient with Wintress Controls.
